Mechanic-turned-grillmaster Gene Porter turns out Southern barbecue and down-home ambiance in the land of high technology. Dixie's optional "The Man" sauce is about as hot as sauce comes, so go easy; meals have been ruined here by unwary applications. The already spicy, already delicious barbecue doesn't really need the boost. Order Ribs, Chicken or a Brisket Sandwich with Southern diner sides like beans and rice, potato salad, baked beans and corn bread. And don't forget iced tea to soothe the burn.
