Many believe that there is a lack of good Indian food compared to many other cuisines in New York City, particularly when it comes to upscale restaurants. Dawat helps make up for that deficiency. The elegant, spacious interior is inviting, and painted masks on the walls add a sense of the exotic. The excellent food will win over even those who claim to dislike Indian cuisine.
