More information on Fish Market Restaurant
Although the popular Fish Market has grown to include the building next door, its original corner location is a warehouse that's over 200 years old. Heavy beams, terra-cotta tile floors, exposed brick and stucco walls adorned with nautical antiques, copper pots over a fireplace, copper-topped bars, and saloon doors all lend an old-time ambience. If you're lucky, in fine weather, you might get a table for two on a one-table-wide balcony above King Street. Although not exceptional, the fare is quite passable and reasonably priced Chesapeake-style (broiled, fried, or grilled) fresh fish, shrimp, oysters, and crab. The seafood stew is a wonderful warmer-upper on a cold day. On weekends, there's live entertainment in the Main Dining Room and the Sunquest Room.
