This near-North side restaurant offers casual dining with an authentic Mexican taste. Close to San Antonio College, La Fonda is located at the junction of Main Street and Craig Place in a modest building with indoor and outdoor seating. The food is more complicated than that offered at a standard taco shop: one is more likely to find black beans than the ordinary refried pintos and the entrees often include grilled chicken or steaks with authentic sauces. A full bar is available.
