Having already been recognized by international style magazines, the Villa Mahal could easily be called the Jewel of the Mediterranean, offering its visitors sophisticated yet unspoiled surroundings. The large property sits in the middle of an olive grove on a steep bluff overlooking Kalkan Bay and is secluded enough that nothing man-made tarnishes the view. The actual building area takes up very little of the grounds, so the brush along the cliff side provides a good level of privacy. Hotel rooms are at the top of the bluff overlooking the sea, but at 202 steps, it's a long walk down to the waterside and much longer on the way up under the fierce heat. Characteristic waterside platforms form the "beach" where there is an array of watersports and an airy and stylish seaside cafe. Villa Mahal has a very special "honeymoon suite," a chillingly romantic secluded circular building with glass walls and its very own private terrace pool overlooking the bay. A regular water shuttle runs from the platform to Kalkan's marina every 15 minutes in high season.
