The oldest Chinese restaurant in Cologne (open since 1954) stands out due to its down-home atmosphere, subtly accented by a few Chinese decorative pieces. The cuisine is also orientated towards the European clientel, catering ideally to European taste buds! Abalone (deep sea snails) is a house specialty. The taste is not especially exotic, but it has its price: EUR 12.25 for a soup and EUR 34 for a main course. The prices in general are somewhat higher than in other places, but so is the quality of the food. Soups cost between EUR 2.50-10.25 and main courses between EUR 8.75-26.25. It's not surprising, therefore, that the guests are mainly people visiting the city center, business people or an older clientele. The friendly waiting staff is proud to serve Pilsner beer on tap!
