More information on Fu Kun Wu at Thaiku
Ballard Avenue is one of the prettiest streets in Seattle: Its sidewalks are shaded by trees, and the old brick commercial buildings have been converted into boutiques, galleries, restaurants, and nightclubs. Amid these pleasant historic surroundings, you'll find my favorite Thai restaurant in town. Known to locals as the Noodle House, Thaiku is a dark place with lots of old wooden antiques from Asia hanging from the walls and ceilings. The fun atmosphere is just a bonus, though, since it's the great noodle dishes that are the main attraction. I don't think you'll find a better pad Thai anywhere in Seattle. The bar here gets lively on weekends, and there's even live music (usually jazz) on Wednesday and Thursday nights.
