More information on Liborio's Cuban Restaurant
Nicely located in the Central Business District, this Cuban cafe attracts many local business folk at lunchtime, but despite the crowds, that might be the best time to go, when prices are very affordable (they do seem to be needlessly high at dinnertime). Plus, it's a fun space -- the chartreuse sponged walls and pillowy parachute fabric upholstering the ceiling make for a festive and more aesthetically pleasing look than you might think from reading the description. Lazy ceiling fans and photos from the homeland put you in mind of Hemingway's Havana. Order the day's special or be like us, partial to Cuban specialties such as the tender, garlicky roast pork; the flatbread Cuban sandwich; and sweet fried plantains.
