More information on Bertha's
Situated in a small but classy shopping centre, which represents Simon's Town's miniature alternative to the city's V & A Waterfront, this place has a great buzz. The themes here are jazz and seafood, and both can be enjoyed with great harbour views. This split-level harbourside restaurant has a jazz-themed decor, a quayside terrace and an adjacent coffee bar for lighter meals. Seafood seems to be the sensible thing to eat in this environment, although there are meatier choices such as steaks, ribs and kassler cutlets. Seafood options include sole with an oregano and bay leaf butter, chargrilled prawn and kingklip en papillote and blackened calamari, to mention but a few. There is a small wine list.
