Just outside The Loop, in your average middle-class American neighborhood, sits this remarkable little Puerto Rican restaurant called La Marginal. Ignore the fact that it sits in an unassuming little strip center and wander in. You'll be glad you did. Black beans abound on this menu. Beyond that, two of the best options are the award-winning Sandwich Cubano, featuring tender beef and pork and melted Swiss cheese, and the Platano Loco, with roast pork, grilled ham, Swiss cheese and green plantains.Disabled Access.
