A Maui must-do is the Teppanyaki dinner. Chefs prepare food at diners' tables, complete with knife-tossing artistry and other culinary pyrotechnics. While Teppanyaki is a traditional Japanese cooking technique, this restaurant aims to provide a "non-traditional Japanese" eating experience. The restaurant itself is sophisticated and pleasant, with blond wood paneling, Japanese screens and grills inlaid in tables. Seatings take place every 45 minutes; the last one is around 8:30pm.
