More information on Gurkha Grill (The)
A small, but hugely popular Nepalese restaurant in the middle of trendy West Didsbury, which is also a great place to go for local celebrity spotting. Mercury Music Prize winner Badly Drawn Boy and various well-known club DJs all frequent the Gurkha Grill on a regular basis. The menu contains many unusual dishes such as venison kebabs, chicken shangrila - which has a distinctly Chinese flavour and even quail tandoori as a starter. There are also good value set dinners. In addition, vegetarians are well catered for with many delicious dishes such as vegetable Nepal, thickened with fresh mango and grated coconut, while you could wash it all down with a bottled of chilled Kathmandu lager.
