More information on Tides
A great alternative to Blues, Tides enjoys the same azure view of the ocean beyond Camps Bay beach, in a slick and contemporary venue. Tides' interior has pale wood everywhere – on the floors, walls and halfway up the diamond-checked pillars. Wooden designer chairs are upholstered in sassy teal. There is a bar downstairs, ideal for sundowners or aperitifs within reach of sea breezes. The food on offer is simple and fresh. A trademark, and used on savoury dishes, is the use of homemade oils, using basil, chilli, and coriander. Definitely worth your while is to experience the beef fillet rolled in black peppercorns with a whiskey Hollandaise. Tides has a broad range of local and foreign wines.
