If you love true Mexican food, not the tamer blend of Tex-Mex, head to this south side standard. The small restaurant serves up classic dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner, but these are not your average enchiladas. Favorites like beef intestines and tripe soup are served up in huge portions for very little money. The cooks here still serve familiar items like tacos and burritos, but using less-traditional cuts of meat like beef tongue and cheek spices them up.
