A menu as exciting as the atmosphere awaits at this hip but elegant restaurant and tapas bar. In the few years since it opened, Melange has become the toast of the town. Start with sautéed frog legs with roasted garlic, basil, and fresh tomato, and then move on to flash-fried gourmet greens splashed with vinaigrette and sprinkled with orange-yellow nasturtiums. Entrees include an excellent escolar, a firm, white fish filet caramelized with a butter-wine sauce; and fork-tender honey-glazed pork tenderloins served with a sweet potato latke and ginger reduction. This is no place to skimp on dessert. Go for the Madagascar chocolate mousse timbale, or the warm blueberry tartlet with house-made frozen vanilla custard.
