More information on Le Cantine Squarciafico
In the heart of the historic centre, a few metres from the San Lorenzo Cathedral is this place, created by Eugenio and Maria, which has been very successful, especially with young people. It is located in a sixteenth century building and is very distinctive with traditional, Ligurian doors. They offer a range of homemade desserts. The entrance, through a short, steep staircase, leads into a distinctive atmosphere. One of the rooms has been hollowed out of the old cistern of the building. This place offers 'Stracci' which are served with mushrooms, courgettes and asparagus according to season, as well as soup, sword fish, meat with figs and beef in the Provence style. There are homemade desserts including chocolate cake and there is a good selection of wine from all over Italy.
