Chef/owner Laura Proserpio makes everything from scratch and to order; you won't catch her near a microwave oven. As a result, you won't find a better bruschetta, pasta carbonara, marinara, or risotto in Waikiki. The menu is built on uncompromising basics such as generations-old recipes and long hours of simmering soups and sauces. The prix-fixe dinner consists of appetizer or salad, soup (usually fish, lentil, or vegetable, and always good), and entree, which could be a porcini risotto, homemade ravioli, or any of several veal selections. (If you call ahead to request it, Laura will prepare a vegetarian prix-fixe menu as well.) Note: This information was accurate when it was published, but can change without notice.
