More information on Weißes Kreuz
The Weiße Kreuz (White Cross) in the Old Town, has been an inn for more than 450 years. Such a long history is of course binding to a certain extent, and indeed, the Weiße Kreuz is a very recommendable address for people interested in tasting authentic Austrian and particularly Tyrolean cooking. Some of the original features have not been altered, such as the old, awe-inspiring wooden floors and ceiling panels. The dishes include such fine creations as cutlets of young lamb in a thyme and garlic sauce with roast potatoes and vegetables or trout in lemon-herb butter with parsley potatoes and herbed vegetables. There is also a selection of more hearty, traditional dishes and the wine list is very good.
