For those who miss old-fashioned home cooking, this place offers good, hearty food with "home cooking" written all over it. An excellent range of starters including smoked mackerel salad and egg mayonnaise accompanies an expansive menu of roasts, fried fish, and chicken dishes. Situated up a flight of stairs, Kelly's consists of a single room with some twenty tables neatly ordered in rows. While not exactly exuding a romantic ambience, the atmosphere is quite charming and friendly. Prices are perfectly reasonable and hearty portions of good food are simply guaranteed. A limited wine menu is also available.
