Brewmaster Christopher Ericson's popular beer, Ubu Ale, made on-site, has flooded taps across the North Country, and visitors can't get enough of his High Peaks Hefeweizen, Barkeater Amber, and Moose Island Ale. At heart, this is a local watering hole, a fun hot spot off Main Street. Regulars drink downstairs in the smoky pub-style bar known as P. J. O'Neill's, or gather upstairs in the cozy dining room, where a fire blazes in winter and an outdoor deck is open in summer. Expect standard pub fare here: shepherd's pie, bangers and mash, and a selection of delicious burgers. You can't miss with the heaping plate of supreme nachos as a starter. There's often a lengthy waiting list for tables during busier seasons, but pool, darts, foosball, and a lively crowd keep things interesting.
