Diva's revamped triple-tiered dining room with a giant wall of glass brick in the rear makes for an elegant dining experience, but I wish they'd remove those awful paintings. This is a tony, big-money-hotel restaurant that has to satisfy rich, persnickety customers (divas). The menu draws from the best of local fresh seasonal ingredients and takes a light, international approach to spices and seasonings. Seafood is perhaps the best option. If you arrive in the right season, don't pass on the Queen Charlotte scallops, the wild sockeye salmon, or the Pacific halibut with artichoke fennel ravioli. Diva's high-end main courses include meat, fowl, and seafood. You may find cinnamon-smoked duck with white asparagus and morel mushroom risotto, butter poached Nova Scotia lobster tail, or roasted beef tenderloin and glazed short ribs.
