Located on the fifth floor in the World Porters shopping/restaurant/film complex on Yokohama's harbor, the atmosphere in SuraBaya is informal. Friendly waitresses and Indonesian treats make this a place for a pleasant meal with Asian flavors. A set course called Otamesi is served at either lunch or dinner. Gado Gado (peanut sauce salad), a sate, chicken, grilled lamb, fried noodles with seafood, coconut dessert and Balinese coffee are included. Appetizers include spicy beef rendang, lumpia (spring roll) or shrimp kebab. Drinks - gin and tonic, Cuba Libre, Bloody Mary, or Cheateau Margosee, which complements the Indonesian food. The terra cotta Indonesian statues in individually lighted recesses evoke the atmosphere of a Balinese temple. Other features are rattan coasters, ikat-patterned, sarong-clad waitresses and cane chairs upholstered in batik.
