More information on Modern Cafe

With cool 1940's decor, the Modern looks anything but modern. A younger, hip crowd flocks here for the New England-style pot roast, pan-roasted chicken breasts with garlic mashed potatoes, black bean soup with chopped jalapeno or fried catfish with polenta. Salads, pasta dishes, burgers and sandwiches are also featured. Desserts include a chocolate tart or fresh plum and peach crisp topped with vanilla ice cream. On weekends, the Modern opens early and serves the type of breakfast your mom may have whipped up.Disabled Access.
