More information on Golden Ox Restaurant
This popular steakhouse was established in 1949 by the founder of the Kansas City Stockyards Company to feed hungry ranchers. The stockyards are now history, but the Golden Ox retains its 1950-ish clubby atmosphere and is still the place for high-powered business lunches (when burgers and daily specials are also available) and some of the best, yet affordably priced, steaks in town, aged and cut on the premises and broiled over a hickory-charcoal flame.
