Al Mercante is a stylish Italian restaurant with several Venetian specialties on the menu. Al Mercante means The Merchant, referring to Venice's old status as a trade center. A truly Venetian atmosphere is created by the many masks and other northern Italian items hanging on the walls. There is space for 110 customers, so this can be a lively place when full. Venetian main courses include the specialty tagliata alla veneziana. After the dinner, try a grappa, the Italian spirit made from fermented grape husks. Al Mercante has a selection of more than 30 grappas, so there is a great chance of finding one you will like.
