More information on John's
John's, in deepest Old Market, combines quality Thai cuisine with excellent value for money. Being just out of the city centre, it retains its well-kept-secret feel, although word is fast getting out, thanks to its mellow atmosphere and wonderful food. There's a good selection of meat, veggie and fish curries available, and the chef adds individual touches to the dishes - you might find roast potatoes accompanying your curry, as well as the more usual rice! Its legendary Sunday lunches are extremely popular and the perfect introduction to classic British cuisine. Specialties include roast lamb or beef, vegetables, gravy and of course, Yorkshire puddings.
