Owner Juan Carlos Cheyre worked in his mother's restaurant, Les Assassins, for more than three decades, but when it became too small for them, he decided to open Michelle's. It is considerably bigger but similar in style and cuisine. As a chef, he manages to please all palates with the fine dishes he learnt to cook in France. This house, typical of the Bellavista neighbourhood, was refurbished to meet the restaurant's needs and it now boasts brick walls and stained glass windows at the bar. It is visited by both young and old, as well as families, who come to enjoy the variety of French dishes on the menu. Michelle´s has a very loyal clientele, undoubtedly because of the quality of its cooking. Banquette de Vôe is one of its famous dishes, delicious veal cooked in white wine, mushrooms and vegetables. Those with more unusual tastes will find specialities like whelks and shellfish. When it comes to desserts, their speciality are crêppes zuzzete. Everything on the menu is reasonably affordable.
