Frankie and Benny's fits the bill if you fancy a night surrounded by the atmosphere of a particular bygone era of American elegance, with a whiff of Al Capone style. The US exterior could almost fool you into thinking that you were in Brooklyn rather than Bristol and inside the booths and bar stools, the music and the overly-friendly staff continue the theme. So too does the food, which is Italian-American. So you'll find dishes such as chicken parmesan, "little Italy mixed grill", pizza pizza (pizza with a bolognese sauce and topped with virtually all imaginable types of meat) and chocolate brownies galore. Overall good for an informal evening out and with house wine also served here, a few hours can slip by quite happily.Takeaway available.Disabled Access.
