More information on Nyhavns Faergekro
Nyhavn is a hugely popular place, especially in the summer, when the place is crowded with both tourists and Danes. Nyhavns Faergekro is one of its many popular restaurants. The check-patterned tiles on the floor, and the massive rafters on the ceiling give this restaurant a good down-to-earth atmosphere for lunch or dinner. One of the specialties for lunch is the big herring buffet, featuring ten kinds of herring, smoked, pickled, fried, you name it. For a fixed rate you can eat as much as you like. Whether you choose the buffet or one of the many kinds of smørrebrød (open sandwiches) you should try one of the homemade aquavits. St. John's Wort, sloe berries or woodruff will surely give your lunch a colourful touch! For dinner, try the grilled salmon and a glass of draught beer, a good choice for this kind of food.
