Peranakan food is essentially a blend of ingredients borrowed from Chinese and Malay dishes, and this fusion is said to be the best of all Singapore cuisines. Dishes like Beef Rendang, Udang Sambal (chilli prawns) or Curry Chicken are cheap and tasty. Alcoholic beverages are not served.
