Chef Alison Swope, veteran of several successful Washington restaurants, presides over this new and trendy restaurant near the MCI Convention Center. There is a casual bistro-style atmosphere here. The waitstaff is efficient and caters graciously to the high-powered diners who frequent this restaurant. The menu is inventive in its approach to the New American cuisine it offers. Soups are a specialty, along with appetizers such as portabello and feta baklava. The entrees, which change regularly, often have a Southwestern flavor. The seafood dishes are always a good choice.
