This cozy eatery is a little taste of New Orleans in downtown Austin. The proprietors pride themselves on running the restaurant like a "mom and pop" operation. It seats about 150 people at 30-40 tables covered with soft white tablecloths. The 25-foot ceilings and art deco pieces lend the space a very unique and comfortable feel. A few of the items you will find on their tempting menu: Seafood Gumbo, Red Beans and Rice with Sausage, Crawfish Etouffee, Shrimp Creole, Chicken Dixie, Crawfish Pasta and Shrimp Po Boy. It offers a selection of over 50 wines to complement your meal. Be certain to save room for New Orleans Style Custard, South Louisiana Bread Pudding or one of the other tempting desserts.Disabled Access.
