After 5 years at my government desk job I figured it was time for a little break. I've taken 2 months off work to travel from Slovenia down to Greece, with a stop in Leuven, Belgium on the way home to visit a friend. Balkan music, island hopping on the Adriatic, and hiking in Bosnia and Herzegovina are just a few of the highlights I hope to enjoy, and of course, the beaches!

A lot of people ask why I picked these countries to travel to and I guess it's hard to give just one reason. The music coming out of this part of the world has intrigued me for some time which led to interest in the region, and after seeing friends' pictures of Croatia, I was sold. Now after a long period of thinking about it and planning, I'm even more excited and hopefully this blog will help lessen the scary reputation this area holds and keep you all up to date with where I'm at. Talk to you soon from Slovenia!
