Edmonton is home to the world’s officially largest mall. It has an aquarium with daily dolphin shows, an underwater submarine, a theme park, a water park with the world largest indoor wave pool, a replica of the Santa Marina, four miniature golf courses (one that is played in the dark with black lights), a hotel, an NHL sized ice rink, and 26 movie theaters (both normal and virtual)...not to mention the shopping and restaurants!

Hands down, the mall has everything you could ever want for a short trip. We never left the building in our entire stay, which I now find very unfortunate.

We stayed in Fantasyland Hotel, which is connected to the mall, and has a theme for every floor level. Our first night was spent in a Victorian style room, where the master bed resembled a horse pulled buggy and the furniture was made to resemble antiques. After this, we stayed in the Polynesian room with a tropical feel and a sailing ship bed surrounded by a ‘lagoon’ style floor. The jacuzzi resembled a volcano that you could turn on or off according to whim. Lastly there was the arctic room, where the master bed was half an igloo, and the spare beds were dog sleds. There were many other themes, and we went to all the floors to look at the different decors. It was a very interesting hotel.
