Kolonial-Stil und Kino

Die Insel Penang ist die einzige Provinz in Malaysia in der die chinesische Bev闤kerung in der Ueberzahl ist. Die gr廲te Stadt Georgetown mit ihren Kolonial-Geb酳den, der chinesischen Kultur, die vielen Tempeln und Museen und ihrem hervorragendem Essen zieht viele Touristen an.

Carina und ich sind in der frî…¢ mit dem Boot nach Krabi von dort aus mit einem Minivan nach î“°at Yai?und mit einem anderem Minivan dann î…œer die Grenze erreichten wir Goergetown um 21.30 h. In Chinatown wurden wir abgesetzt wo es es genî…¡end Gasthé…³ser gibt. Wir haben dann im î“»tardust?gewohnt, nette Leute und freies WiFi.

In Georgetown haben wir eine Tour durch die Stadt gemacht, um uns diverse Gebé…³de, Tempel, Shopping Zentren und andere Sehenswî…¬digkeiten anzusehen. Soweit ich mich erinnere war ich seit Neuseeland auch nicht mehr im Kino. War also wirklich Zeit.

Am Samstag haben wir ein wenig die Insel erkundet. Wir sind zum sehr farbenfrohen ek Lok Si Temple?und mit der Bahn rauf auf den Penang Berg.

The island Penang is the only province in Malaysia where the Chinese population is bigger than the Malays. The biggest city is Georgetown with its colonial style buildings, the Chinese culture, the many temples and museums and its excellent food is a mayor tourist destination.

Carina and I left in the morning by boat to Krabi and from there by minivan to î“°at Yai?where we changed to another minivan to cross the border. We arrived Georgetown at 9.30 pm. We stayed in the î“»tardust Guesthouse? Nice people and free WiFi.

In Georgetown we walked around town to have a look at lots of building, temples, shopping malls and other stuff. We also went to the cinema which I have not done since New Zealand.

On Saturday we explored a little bit of the island. We visited the colorful. Kek Lok Si Temple?and went up the Penang Hill by cable car.
