This morning, I decided I had seen enough of Puno so I headed for Copacabana, Bolivia, just on the other side of the Lake Titicaca. By the way, the famous Copacabana in Brasil is actually named after this very small town in Bolivia, because it's an important pilgrimage location in South America.

But first, I took my laundry back from the hotel and, surprise, a T-Shirt had disappeared. When it came to pay for the laundry, I calmly explained in Spanish that I would have to use the 15 soles to buy another one so it wasn't fair. I just put the money for the room without the laundry cost and she said "ok". To be honest, I'm pretty sure my T-Shirt was not "lost". Good none of my clothes are expensive anyway but it'sstill annoying. You see, it's this kind of situation when you think: "well, it's just a t-shirt, I'm not gonna ask for anything". But then you realise one thing: not being rich is not an excuse for being dishonest.

So I walked out and I realised the festivities for the anniversary of the creation of Puno were starting, with the kids from the different schools in town were dancing in the streets with fantastic costumes. It was very colourful and cute. I've posted some pictures.

Then I headed to the "Terminal Terrestre" to take the bus. Well I was slightly in advance as the next one to Copacabana was 3 hours later. So I read the guide, the part about the history of Bolivia (fascinating by the way). I had a nice lunch and then took the bus. We crossed the border after 2 hours, got my new stamp and continued to Copacabana. I checked-in my hotel and walked in the town. The lake was absolutely splendid, just after sunset. I took some pictures too, check them out!

After all this, I had dinner and went back to my room. I read "La Planeta de los Simios" and went to bet. All in all, a pretty chilled-out day. Tomorrow, I will head to the Isla Del Sol.
