Back in Quito the day before the BIG trip!!

well hola chicas and chicos

am back in Quito have met a few people on the trip, but having our formal meetings tonight, there are two trucks leaving.. so will find out more in an hour or so.

where else can you p.-p-pick up a penguin!!

Anyway been back in Quito managed to visit the top of the Volcano here, and get my washing done so all is good well on those two fronts at any rate.

So the Galapagos, oh my goodness what a fabulous trip and not only because we had 3 course lunch and dinners and more fluffy white towels but I have never been so close to such a diversity of wild life, from being on the beach with sea lions.. (maybe that makes me nearly a sea lying by the beach !!) to snorkelling with them and penguins.. (not the chocolate kind I may add) it was just amazing.

Therefore have many different photos of animals that when I find somehwere I can download photos, can bore/enteratin you.. that said I will probably forget the name of most accept that I know if its a bird, tortoise or another animal.

So all in all we visited 8 islands, had snorkelling trips for most days and I wasnt sick on the boat (an added bonus)

Came back to Quito yesterday and now trying to pack everything away as best I can, have bought another bag, so have some space as at the moment have to wear my cold weather gear just to be able to fit everything else in, which isnt great in these temperatures as quito is hot hot hot.

anyway off to pick up said laundery and then meet my new truck mates.. think good thoughts for me.
