Denali - Grizzly bear viewing & Whitewater rafting Experience !!

1st July 2009: We drove from Anchorage to Denali National Park on 1st July 2009 & reached Denali at 5.00pm. The GPS does not show the right directions all the time. So be careful while driving to a destination. We had planned our stay the Grizzly Bear resort in Denali National Park. The resort was amazing & we choose the Marshall Cabin for our stay.

I & Prashant did whitewater rafting at canyon river in the evening at around 6.30 pm. It was a great experience. The suits that the company provided us were especially made by NASA for the rafting experience. You don't get wet at all, so don't worry & carry your camera with you. There were only 1 or 2 level III rapids, so its great for even beginners. We all are vegetarians & prefer Indian vegetarian food. So we had all our food with us. Since the day is long during summer, we had our dinner at around 9.00 pm. There was no microwave oven in the cabin but the front desk had one. So we heated all our food & enjoyed it in our cabin near the river.

2nd July 2009: Today we all were excited for the Kantishna Experience Bus tour which takes you deep inside Denali National Park. Its a 12 hr tour experience with breakfast & luck provided. The bus takes you 90 miles inside & again back 90 miles return journey. There are other shorter tours as well but I would say its better to go on this tour. We could see around 10 Grizzly bears that day. Infact we also saw a huge Grizzy bear with her 3 cubs. I will upload a video of the cubs with their mom. It was an amazing experience. We also saw lots of moose & a variety of birds. Our motto was to see Grizzly Bear & this tour was completely worth the time & money. We reached back at our resort at around 9.00 pm & then had dinner. After dinner we went shopping around since today was our last day at Denali National Park.
