A few days worth of updates..

On the 20th we arrived in a place called karon beach, planned on finding somewhere quiet after our early get up for our flight to thailand. The place was generally nice but more quiet than we had expected, we had a good room just outside the town which cost us a fiver a night. We didnt really get up to that much apart from go drinking and chilling out. The next day we moved dwon the road to kata beach which was said to be more lively and have a lot more to do. WRONG. This place was also pretty boring but would be a nice place to go as a couple. The beach was nice, and we chilled there for a bit had some dinner out and then bought a load of beers and sat drinking them on our balcony back at the hostel/hotel. Still hadnt met anyone at this point which was pretty disapointing. For this reason we decided to book into a hotel in phuket town itself just for a night, we did this from an intenret cafe where we met two local girls, one called ann (im in love) and the other with a name that sounded a bit like donkey... Got both their numbers and trying to meet ann again later in my travels, my beautiful. Now me and rob are in phuket town itself, its still quiet but have noticed a few odd backpackers kicking about whilst we were on our taxi tour that cost us a quid?? So cheap and random, however we did get dragged around some thai jewellery shop, pretty sure the taxi driver was on some type of commission. He barely spoke english and had a limp like hed been shot, legend. Oh yeh, forgot rob tried to steal a towel from our first hostel and got caught, amazed he wasnt shot or arrested as he tried blagging his way out saying he didnt understand even though she spoke perfect english. Off out for a few beers and hoping to meet some fresh.
