where the life is wild!
From Six Month Sabbatical in Galapagos Islands, Ecuador on Oct 21 '09
well hola everyone, we have an unexpected port visit, so taking time to get used to land (my sea legs are well a bit wobbly to say the least)
have joined with quite an upmarket boat tour (mainly as its a bigger boat, so less chance of feeling icky, that said it hasnt elimnated that), its like The Junk (for a select few of you out there) couple of groups on the boat, one family who have some teenagers, so I can exchange x-factor tips, so all is good.
Seymour Island was the first Island visited, so you could say I seymour!!!
we stopped at an island yesterday, where the guide continually told us these are seals, they are sea lions! there is a difference and saw the blue footed boobie (insert your own pun here) and quite a few iguanas (marine and land type)
today visited the tortoises and saw lonesome george, last of his kind.. and many other tortoises.
am off to see more tortoises ( a girl cant get enough) after lunch though I have opted not return to the boat.
thank you for all your comments, not used the shewee yet Kirst, but am sure there will be opportunity.
anyway off to get some postcards, more when am next online which am told is in about a week
till then.
take care
Coz
