We decided to leave the Val d'Orcia Natural park and head towards Cortona to spend the night. We noticed the big Lago Trasimeno just underneath Cortona and thought it would be nice to go and see the lake for a little while.

We programmed the Tom Tom to drive to Castiglione del Lago, a place west of the Lago. In the main street some woman was standing just outside her shop offering all pedestrians to taste some of her sausages, cheeses or whine. We could not resist and tried all and it was very nice. We decided to not leave her shop empty handed and bought a sausage that tasted much, much better than it smelled...

We sat down for a drink with a view over the lake. It was nice sitting there and enjoying the view and the breeze.
