I arrived at the Munich airport around 7AM..  Once I arrived here, there was a great sense of relief.  I made it and from here on out, things were covered.  My flight didn't leave until  10 so for 3 hours I figured I would sleep, but no can do.  So I kept busy,  just planned on sleeping like a baby after I made the plane change in Paris .  By this time I was getting a sad realizing my adventure was coming to an end.  What an experience it was!! Somethng I will never forget.

Charles DeGualle airport in Paris is GIGANTIC!!!!!!!!  I didn't get the whole experience when I arrived on Sept. 1, but I got to experience it today.  It took 1/2 hours get to my next gate.  I had to take 2 buses and walk through 2 terminals.  It was a good thing I had 2 hours in between flights.  But eventually I boarded and was ready to sleep for the 8 hour flight.  However, I could not sleep except for short cat naps. I got lots of reading done, however.

My flights were all on time, my bags followed me to St. Louis and I arrived home around 8 PM on the 29th (lost a day coming back).  I saw Cory waiting for his bags, ( he left Munich before me) and I was so glad to see him again.  Then about 5 minutes later, Dave walked in.  It was sooooo good to see him.  I just ran over and jumped on him much to his surprise.

We were on our way HOME.

At first, I think Chico forgot who I was because when I walked in, he sniffed me and went out to see Cory.  Then he came back in and went crazy.  Howie was there to welcome me home by meowing for food.  He certainly didn't forget.  It was weird seeing the house again, the kitchen looked different, but nothing had changed it was just my mind reacting to such a drastic change in decor.

That evening I was ready to sleep for a day, since I hadn't slept more than 6 hours in the past 38 hours, but for some reason I couldn't sleep.  It wasn't until the next evening that I caught up.

When I started my trip, I started a "Blessings page" in my notebook.  When I finished, there were 3 looseleaf pages filled with wonderful things I experienced along the way.

Thank you God for the experience and creating my Children who helped make this possible, Dave for holding down the fort and supporting me traveling, Cory for being such a good travel companion, and all of you who had been praying for us while we were away.  There were multilple occasions that I know deep in my heart that it was your prayers that lifted us out of a problem situation, provided good weather and/or protected us from all the bad stuff that could have happened.  I will be eternally grateful to all of you for this incredible gift.

With much love!!!!!!

Patty
