I woke up bright and early Saturday morning in Montreal, to a beautiful sunny warm October day. Packed  up, and as excited as a snail finding a new shell...I hopped on the metro to go to the bus station.

At the bus station I noticed this women in a red leather jacket. I liked the jacket. I ran to the bathroom before my bus boarded, and when I got out the bus was just about finished boarding. I gave my ticket to the bus driver and got on, the only seat left was beside the woman with the red leather jacket! We rode all the way to the airport, without saying a word.

Finally, at the airport! Grabbed my bag from the pile and started walking towards the doors. Checked in to my WestJet flight and went through security...to find the woman in the red leather jacket infront of me in the security line. Finally through after having been stripped of my shoes and checked for daggers 10 times over...and I went to good old Tim Hortons for lunch; double double, ham and swiss and a honey glazed donut.

Waiting...waiting...waiting.

Finally, time to leave...the plane was delayed 20 minutes because of the weather in Winnipeg. Wait a second. I had to pee again. Of course right during boarding. Ran to the bathroom (I never use the plane bathrooms...I hate them) ran back to the gate. Got on the plane. Shuffled down the isle to 17F...Yup, you guessed it. 17D was the woman in the red leather jacket. Again, we sat in silence all the way to Winnipeg.

Bonjour Winnipeg! and the SNOW on Oct. 10. -2C and windy, good thing I brought my new purple scarf! My mom picked me up outside the terminal. And then we ordered take-out Boston Pizzas; Ham and Pineapple and Rustic Italian (hmm, kind of want a leftover piece right now, to nurse my woozy stomach from last nights events)

I visited my friend who just had a baby in September. Her son's name is Maxx Lucca. Spent a few hours there, brought some Canadians presents to him. Had a few glasses of wine and then off to the social  in Carman.

For those who don't know what a social is; A night to honour a bride and groom and congratulate them before their wedding. It is a fundraiser for the couple, through ticket purchases, drinks and raffle draws. If you've never been, and you have the chance to go...go to one! There are always lots of good country music and line dancing...ooooo and those delicious pickle and cheese sandwiches at midnight!

It was a fabulous first night in Manitoba. These people know how to have fun no matter what the weather.
