Gemma began Thursday being woken up by 2 yellow-bellied birds (possibly warblers) trying to get into her bedroom, unsuccessfully (see picture).  Bob began Thurday being woken by builders banging next door.

We then went for our usual visit to Walmart where we purchased sushi for tea and Bob bought yet another pair of flip-flops in her quest for a pair that don't give her blisters.  It's a joy to visit Walmart, not only because of the food, but also because of the air-conditioning....bliss!

Our next stop was the school where we tried to find a lovely man called Oscar to arrange snorkelling with sea turtles, and booked it for Saturday.  Then off to the beach as usual, it's a hard life!  Got our usual spot on the sunlongers and met Arianne for some sunbatheing and swimming.  We're going to end up with some pretty impressive biceps at this rate as trying to swim back towards the beach proves quite a challenge.  Also spotted a couple of pelicans and one of them decided to have a spot of lunch (see picture), they must have amazing eyesight as it swooped down from a good distance.  Bob also has some lunch but decided not to get it from the sea and instead ordered a cheese sandwich.

Then we had our sushi which was delicious and then had an early night to help us recover from a few late nights.  All in all, a very relaxed day.

Friday; had a relaxing morning where Bob tried to do some of the nasty grammar questions we're supposed to complete before the task.  Gemma decided to paint her nails instead :)

Then went to college to pay for turtle trip and chat with other students there (and also to sweat some more!).  Met up with Arianne so she could help us to buy mobile phones, we had tried on our own before but didn't really get anywhere due to our lack of Spanish (Arianne is our interpreter!). Spent about an hour in the phone shop and each of us left with a phone so a successful trip.  Had a spot of lunch in a small restaurant - all had quesadillas which were very tasty.  Went to Walmart to cool down and get some snacks and then off to the residence to shower and get ready for the evening.

Decided that we would search for Karaoke bars that Arturo had told us about but found both of them closed, doh!  It was much busier than usual tonight and we decided to venture down to a bar on the beach called Sensei (where we watched a film on Monday) for a drink.  It was lovely and cool by the sea and they played The Beatles.  Also saw some lightening in the distance.  Next we went to Senor Frog, a bar we had mocked on our walk round Playa on Monday because it has a big frog outside and looked pretty cheesey but we figured why not give it a go, and we're glad we did!  Each had a muy grande cocktail (see picture) and we even got to keep the plastic cocktail yard glass - this pleased Bob immensely!.  The waiters seemed bored due to it being quiet and decided to torment us with practical jokes.  Got our pictures taken with Senor Frog and then headed off to bed, a little tipsy after the cocktail, as we had to get up early on the Saturday.
