On the boat!

Sunday morning found us up early sitting out on the balcony while we waited on the rest of the world to wake up and just wait out the time until we could board the ship.

The actual boarding of the ship ending up being quite the ordeal….all the checking in and document checking went pretty smoothly because we had VIP status since we had a suite on the ship but as we were heading to the gangway they closed boarding down because the rain was coming down so hard, so we spent a very boring, frustrating, aggravating hour before we could board the boat….but finally, FINALLY we got on board and got a lovely Bloody Mary to help us “smooth out the edges”.

We got to our room and it was great! King size bed, lots of storage, full size bathroom and a great balcony with some chairs and a little table….I predict a lot of time spent out there! We unpacked and once the kids got on board, we joined them for drinks up on the Lido Deck and watched as we left the Port of Galveston. We then went to casino to await its opening (we have to wait until we reach International waters) and played a bit
