An 84 mile day, our longest so far, took us from Cumnock across the Scottish border into Carlisle. We stopped off in Gretna Green, and true to form saw a couple leaving the registry office (4000 marriages take place in Gretna Green every year). 1 mile later we crossed the English border into the land of Cod and Chips and World class football.
Lochaber no more, Sutherland no more, Lewis no more, Sky no more
