Leaving Jackson, we headed for Salt Lake City.  We drove along the Snake River for several miles.  The water was flowing rapidly and it was very, very clear.  We stopped several times to admire it.

In Idaho, nearing Swan Valley, we kept seeing large nests on the power polls.  Finally Paula saw a sign indicating they were osprey nests.

Between Swan Valley and Idaho Falls, we saw miles and miles of wheat fields that stretched up the mountains.  They had just started cutting wheat.  The fields were so clean and perfect.  Then we began seeing huge potato fields.  It was a farming Mecca.

South of Idaho Falls, we stopped at Blackfoot, Idaho.  The East Idaho State Fair was in progress.  We visited the Idaho Potato Museum.  It was an excellent museum, which included a potato masher collection.  The receptionist had a delightful sense of humor and we bought Idaho Potato tee shirts.  As we left we were given a small mesh Idaho Potato sack with 2 samples of dehydrated hash browns.

We then made our way to Salt Lake City for the night.

The picture of KK in front of the Potato Museum is probably my favorite so far! You guys are really seeing America!
