We arrived a few days ago, and it was a relief! After the humidity of Miami stepping off the plane into a distinctly more English climate was great. Antigua is fantastic, and so much more 'developed' than we had expected. They even have WiFi in the park! Wandering along the cobbled streets, people watching and gawping at the beautiful architecture can take up almost the whole day, obviously with breaks for rice with beans, washed down with a cup of guatemalan coffee.

We are shocked by our Spanish abilities, and start school at 8am sharp tomorrow. We have signed up for 2 weeks of one2one, and moved into our 'homestay' this morning. We are living with a Guatemalan family, who seem very nice and will feed us too.

We'll update you on our linguistic progress and cultural trips!! We may stay here for 6 weeks and get an apartment for a month, whilst volunteering in a school, maybe!?
