Week 11

This week our team has begun to finalize some of our surveys.  This is very exciting and means there is tons of work to be done!  This was also my last Bulge week.  Again, I reviewed PNC and Societe Generale.  I am very glad that I have been able to attend and participate in these meetings because I have learned much more about the financial services industry and all the competitors.  Before this summer, I feel like this was one of my biggest weaknesses.  I wanted to know more about the financial services industry.  Through my participation in the Bulge Club and by reading the Wall Street Journal everyday, I have gained significant knowledge on this industry.  I plan to continue reading the paper everyday at school to try to keep informed on current events.

            Also, this week the executives at McLagan are meeting with Congressman Jim Himes.  He is currently serving his first term in Congress and is a member of the House Committees on Financial Services and Homeland Security which has recently wrote legislation concerning executive pay.  Although I was not able to meet the Congressman, my boss was able to attend the meeting.  The group discussed issues surrounding executive pay.
