Monday 24th August

Today began with watching a clip of Sheryl doing an aerobics class on the local breakfast TV show.  Go the baked bean tins!

Inspired by this show of fitness, and making the most of a rare free morning we decided to hit the Fish Creek trail and fit in a 10k run, interrupted only by a rare rude Canadian who took exception to our running side by side rather than ‘single file only’.

After one of Sheena’s famous egg muffins we headed off to Heritage Park with Rose.  Heritage Park gathers many of the Calgary area’s historic landmarks into a realistic 19th century town complete with actors in period costume.  It was a fascinating insight into the history of the city.

We rushed off, only 30 minutes late to Peter and Linda’s place for a lovely BBQ and gathering of the Leicht side of the family, and many re-countings of the ‘shipwreck’.
